It’s time to enjoy womanhood that is real and away from the rona dhona that viewers are currently seeing on TV. Sony Entertainment Television will be presenting the Indian woman who is modern and traditional in the same breath, with great willpower and commitment, with their upcoming show Kehta Hai Dil… Jee Le Zara. Keeping up with its promise of continuously innovating and developing new show concepts, Sony Entertainment Television launched this show today. Starting 15 August, the show will chronicle the life of Saanchi, a strong, selfless, free-spirited woman living on her own terms and spreading happiness in and around her dear ones lives. Produced by Rose Audio Visuals Pvt Ltd, Jee Le Zara is set in Panchgani, Maharashtra. The story revolves around 34 year old Saanchi, played by the beautiful Sangeeta Ghosh who returns to TV after a long hiatus. After the loss of her parents, she single-handedly carried the responsibilities of her siblings, grandparents and her beloved father’s farm and rather than getting married, she was brave enough to handle responsibilities. The show also marks the entry of the good looking B-town actor Ruslaan Mumtaz on TV who will be playing a suave and wealthy lawyer but a guy who is at ease with life and knows how to enjoy it. What happens when this two unlikely people cross each other’s path to create an unconventional love story? Speaking on the launch, Sneha Rajani, EVP and Business Head, Sony Entertainment Television, said, “At Sony, we believe that television is a reflection of our society. Each show is conceptualized with pronounced shades of realism and aspirations which is extremely relatable with our audiences. Kehta Hai Dil… Jee Le Zara is an extremely refreshing show. The audience today thrives for a good family entertainer, one that they can sit and watch together. We hope to deliver that promise with this compelling love story on SET.” Shristhi Arya, Producer, Rose Audio Visuals Pvt Ltd, further added, “We and Sony together have created unique concepts that have kept our viewers engaged. Saanchi’s character is that of a modern woman who is both a successful entrepreneur and an unflinching support of her family. Her ability to face every situation with a smile is what keeps her going. We are confident that women will relate with Saanchi.” The gorgeous Sangeeta said, “This project impressed me with the content and I felt this was the best show to do after my break. It will present the real challenges a woman faces in her everyday life and I am sure people will enjoy this fresh approach.” Bubbling with excitement, Ruslaan averred, “I am really looking forward to this journey on TV. I do not differentiate between mediums, and I feel with TV, you actually reach a much larger audience. Since the time promos are out, people all around the world have been giving me feedback on how much they are waiting for the show.” In character roles as the two grandmothers are two renowned actors of the Hindi entertainment industry, namely Sulabha Deshpande and Meenakshi Sethi, they are ably supported by Delnaaz Irani who will play Saanchi’s best friend Dilshad. Her siblings, Prabhu and Prachi will be played by Nabeel Ahmed and Priyanka Sidana. The show is written by Niranjan Iyengar and directed by Siddharth Sengupta. The team looks confident and Kehta Hai Dil… Jee Le Zara will definitely strike a chord in the hearts of Indian women for its relatable story. The show launches on 15 August and will air from Monday to Thursday, 9:30 pm on Sony Entertainment Television.
