The role of Amrit in Doli Armaanon Ki does not suit my personality - Aadesh Chaudhary

Aadesh Chaudhary

The well-built and handsome Aadesh Chaudhary has always donned the machoman roles to the ‘T’, so much so that his best effort of playing the rugged and courageous Digu in Colors’ Laagi Tujhse Lagan stays in the minds of viewers till today.

Aadesh, for a change, plays a contrasting character in Amrit in Zee TV’s Doli Armaanon Ki.

Says Aadesh, “Amrit is a character that I have never done before. I am saying this because I am so used to playing the roles wherein even if I do something wrong, I stand tall and am proud of my doing. However, Amrit is a guy who is like a chameleon. He can change colors when needed. When situations demand, he can even salute and bow down before others, just to be in their good books. This trait does not suit my personality, and I am trying to do justice to the character. Amrit has a lot of layers in him, and I am waiting for my role to slowly open up.”

Speaking about audiences’ reaction, the actor states, “I am getting quite a lot of mails wherein my fans are asking me why I took up such a role. My answer to them is that I am experimenting with roles offered. There was a good response for the love track of Amrit and Trisha (Snigdha Shrivastava) and people felt the guy was genuinely in love with her.”

Aadesh wants to focus on movies, and is waiting for a break in Bollywood. “There is hardly much work for men on TV. I simply hope Laagi Tujhse Lagan comes back with a new season, as people loved me as Digu in it. Otherwise, there are only the women-oriented shows on television.”

The actor is open for reality offers too. “I am good at dancing, so I will not mind being part of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. As for Bigg Boss, I feel I cannot survive the heat there, as I am very short-tempered. I can fold my hands and apologize for the mistakes I have done, but can never take the indecency of another person. Having said this I would still love to take up Bigg Boss, as that will test my character and I can work on my patience level.”

Well said, Aadesh!
