There is no competition or rivalry with Kapil: Krushna Abhishek

Talented actor turned comedian Krushna Abhishek is back again along with his known partner Sudesh Lehri, for their upcoming comedy show on Colors’ Comedy Nights Bachao (Optimystix).

And back again with his former partner Krushna seemed to be at his best at the launch of the show. When we caught up with the actor he candidly chatted with us about his new show and much more.

With an already popular comedy chat show, Comedy Nights With Kapil, existing on the channel do you think your show will face competition? Krushna’s answer showed that the man has his wits in the right place and candidly mentioned, “I think that Kapil is a big face in this genre, but so what if he the Badshah of comedy? I believe if he is comparable to SRK in comedy genre then I am like Akshay Kumar in the field”.

“But, on a serious note Kapil is not only a great friend but he is also one of best performers in stand-up comedy. But, there cannot be any competition or rivalry, as his show is more about simple humor, while ours is a bit different. Instead of making it a simple chat show, we have decided to grill the contestant a bit, without hurting that person, which will add uniqueness to our series”, added Krushna

Speaking about the comeback of their pair Krushna commented, “I believe audiences wanted Sudesh-Krushna jodi to be back on screen. And our absence from small screen for quite some time has made the audience even more eager to watch us performing together. Moreover, Colors has a wide viewership, which is definitely an added advantage”.

We also quizzed him about his choice of invitee in Comedy Nights Bachao and the man sportingly replied, “I would love to call my uncle Govinda in the series as no one has ever seen him getting roasted. And from political front I would love to call political journo Rajat Sharma, who himself has roasted so many celebs”.

Finally before signing off Krushna also cleared the air about his marriage and stated, “Yes we had a church wedding, but have not yet tied the knot as per Hindu rituals. We will do that in a while”.

We wish Krushna all the best.
