The verdict is finally out. The makers have decided to stick with a real chef this time and it is Vikas Khanna who has been roped in to host and judge the reality show. Resident chefs from the first season Ajay Chopra and Kunal Kapoor will be the co-judges.

The verdict is finally out. Neither Akshay Kumar nor Saif Ali Khan will be hosting MasterChef season 2. The makers have decided to stick with a real chef this time and it is Vikas Khanna who has been roped in to host and judge the reality show. Resident chefs from the first season Ajay Chopra and Kunal Kapoor will be the co-judges.
Our source informs, “There were initial speculations that Saif Ali Khan would host MasterChef season 2. But the makers wanted to have a real chef in the show this time. Three chefs namely Atul Kocchar, Vineet Bhatia and Vikas Khanna were initially short listed. However, it is Vikas Khanna who has been finally roped in as the host cum judge of the show. Vikas is a highly acclaimed Indian chef, restaurateur, food writer, filmmaker and humanitarian based in New York City. MasterChef 2 will be a bi-weekly and it will entertain viewers from October 15 to December 25, 2011. Many celebrity guests will also make special appearances in the show."
