MUMBAI: Actress Vrushika Mehta recently performed on Pinga song from the film Bajirao Mastani. Going by the reactions, it seems she has nailed it. When asked she says,” I have always been lucky to get a role which needed my dancing skills. Especially in my show YTG, my character Puchki is a dancer and every now and then I get to show my dancing skills. I guess I am fortunate because, in a daily soap where time is the main constraint, I still managed to showcase my passion.” 

 

In the song, Pinga, both Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone had taken a lot of time for rehearsals. How did she go about preparing for it? “That was indeed a huge challenge. In the film, they have taken close to 45 days to get the actual steps and for me, all I was given was 45 minutes. I practiced and I performed. The pitch of the song is perfect and it’s very rhythmic. For a dancer, it’s a delight to perform in Pinga. And I did Laavni after I finished my school. So I could get back to my good old days. I have been always a dancer and been learning since my childhood. Recently I have taken training in Kathak.”
