‘Yam Kissi Se Kam Nahi’, Epic TV’s sitcom to feature Rajesh Kumar and Reema Worah

Epic TV, India’s first genre specific Hindi Entertainment Channel is again in news. We hear that in addition to having mythological shows, fantasy-based costume dramas and historical shows, the channel which will launch in the near future, also has a costume-based comedy project. Produced by David Polycarp and Vasant under the banner Trouble Makers Productions, the sitcom is titled ‘Yam Kissi Se Kam Nahi’, wherein Yam specifies ‘Yamraaj’… The story will revolve around Yamraaj and his family going through few situational problems when Yamraaj is ordered to end a person’s life. The manner in which Yamraaj gets caught in the problems that layman faces will be an interesting watch. The show will be treated with a modern outlook, with costumes of Yamraaj and other prime characters being quite different. Coming to the cast, noted actor Rajesh Kumar who has entertained one and all with his great comic timing in shows like Sarabhai V/s Sarabhai, Baa Bahoo Aur Baby, Mrs. And Mr. Sharma Allahabadwaale, Chintu Chinki Ki Ek Bade Love Story to name a few, will be playing the modern day Yamraj, the central character. Reema Worah, a popular name down South will play Yamraj’s wife while Sheela Sharma and Deepak Parek will play important roles. When contacted, Rajesh Kumar refused to talk about anything. We could not get through to Reema Worah. Talking about the producers, David and Vasant are the makers of Best of Luck Nikki on Disney. They also happen to be the pioneers of concepts like MTV Roadies and MTV Bakra. As per sources, this will be the only comedy show that has been planned in the launch line-up of Epic TV. The channel was to launch sometime in August 2013, but has been delayed a bit. Watch this space for more updates.
