Young fans to the rescue of CID Inspector Daya

It was a very hilarious experience for Sony Entertainment Television’s popular CID cop Daya when he was shooting for an episode for the ongoing Mission Mumbai series in a Mumbai chawl. Recently Dayanand Shetty and Aditya Srivastava, who play CID inspectors Daya and Abhijeet visited a chawl in Parel to shoot for one of their upcoming episode which required them to be dressed as gundas. A khabru from the sets informed us that during the shoot around 500 odd people had gathered to witness the sequence which required Daya to be beaten up by the villain. Suddenly in between the shot, few children made their way through the crowd and charged towards the villain and started arguing with him. Unaware that the shoot was in progress, these little fans of Daya thought that their hero was getting beaten up in real and thus came forward to help him. Only after a lot of convincing by the crew that they understood the situation and were happy to know that their favourite hero was safe. We tried reaching Daya but he remained unavailable to comment. Now that’s a fan following others should be envy of!
