Zee Bangla’s popular reality show Dance Bangla Dance Junior is back!

Yes, you read it right. 

The show which provides a bigger platform to talented dancers to showcase their dancing prowess is back with a bang.

The coming season will see 21 tiny tots, in the age range of three and half years to nine, battle it out to win the trophy.

Popular Tollywood actors like Jisshu U Sengupta, Srabanti Chatterjee and Ankush have been roped in to judge the show.  

It will be anchored by eight-year-old Raktima Das and six-year-old Raktim Samanta. Raktima was the winner of one of the seasons of Mirakkel and Raktim has participated in several reality shows.   

Commenting on the selection procedure of participants, Subhankar Chattopadhyay, director of the show, shared, “After four months of rigorous research and auditioning 50, 000 – 60, 000 kids, our team has zeroed in on 21 candidates from various parts of West Bengal.”

The trio Jisshu, Srabanti and Ankush are excited about the coming season.

Jisshu quipped, “Dance Bangla Dance is a very popular show. I am really happy to be part of it. Years back, I had judged the show and now again I got the opportunity to do the same. But to be honest, I don’t think we are in a position to do so because all of them are atom bombs; they are very talented.”

Srabanti expressed, “I love kids and I cannot criticise a single one. They are so tiny. Even a four-year-old kid is performing here. At that meagre age I don’t think I was even able to talk properly. I wonder how without commiting any mistake, they perform so beautifully. I am glad to be a part of the team and I am going to enjoy the whole season.”  

Ankush echoed similar opinion. He said, “They are too small to be judged on their technical faults. All we are going to see that whether we are enjoying their performances or not. Dance is my passion and I always wanted to be a part of Dance Bangla Dance since its inception.”

When quizzed to name their dance icon, they named Michael Jackson.  

Jisshu opined that in Tollywood, Dev and Ankush are the best dancers and in Bollywood he likes the performances of Sridevi, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff.

Srabanti said that she likes the dancing skills of Prabhu Deva, Hrithik Roshan, Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor and back home Dev and Ankush while Ankush said that he is fond of Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, Shahid Kapoor, Govinda and Shraddha Kapoor’s dancing prowess.
