On June 10 2013, actor Sooraj Pancholi was arrested by Versova police on charges of abetment to suicide.

On July 2, 2013, The Bombay High Court granted bail to Sooraj Pancholi and he was released after spending 22 days in jail.

On 28th April, 2023, 10 years later, special CBI Court Judge AA Sayyed acquits Sooraj Pancholi.
