Eye-glasses are that accessory that is severely underrated and often looked down upon. However, they are not just something for eye support but more of a fashion wear too nowadays! From funky cat-eyes to classy rimless frames, glasses have become a fashion accessory!

However, Bollywood often stereotypes looks and beauties and some of the actresses might not always be open to taking up geeky roles whose style wasn’t glamorous on-screen or wore glasses. However, we came across these Bollywood divas, who rocked the geeky girl look on-camera and made a trend out of glasses!

Glasses or specs usually make people conscious and they would try to avoid them until they become a necessity, or let’s face it, a trend!

1.       Katrina Kaif

While most called her character in Jagga Jasoos to be weird, she was a loyal friend to Jagga and rocked the nerdy look with those glasses. It was a brave move on her part to take up a role who wore glasses on-screen.

2.       Deepika Padukone

Deeepika Padukone nailed the role of Naina Talwar in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and no one could have played it better than her. While scholar Naina never gave up control and was studious to never fall out of line, the Chilled out, more laid back Naina knew what she wanted and went for it without stressing over results! Her rectangle frames became iconic post the film.

3.       Kareena Kapoor Khan

Pia from 3 Idiots will always be one of the most iconic characters and the audience loved her in those full-rimmed, rectangle glasses. Her geeky look of a medicine student who missed her late mother, was well defined and added a layer of confidence to the character.

4.       Jacqueline Fernandes

Jacqueline slayed this look in glasses as Dr. Shaina in Kick. The actress played a psychologist and her ensemble was perfect for the character she essayed. The rectangle frames enhanced her facial features and they are always in style!

So, which of these looks did you like better and did any of these divas inspire any motivation in you’ll to wear glasses?
