Controversies follow Mallika Sherawat like rains after gathering clouds. To no one’s surprise Mallika has whipped up a storm of protests while playing Bhanwari Devi, the slain Rajasthani nurse, in K C Bokadia’s <em>Dirty Politics</em>. In Indore for the shooting, Mallika apparently had unwanted visitors from a particular political party who claimed the Bhanwari Devi scandal was being dug up at another political party’s behest.

Just a day ago, we had reported that Emraan Hashmi has been finalised to play a lead protagonist in a major international assignment. Now it has also been revealed that his <em>Murder</em> co-star Mallika Sherawat has bagged a Hollywood assignment as well. In fact she has already started working on it though no one close to her is willing to reveal many details.

When one heard of Rajnikanth returning to Hindi cinema one was skeptical. First the debacle of her latest film Kismet Love Paisa Dilli, and now comes the news that actor-producer Sachin Joshi has complained to leading producers and leaders of the Hindi film industry including Vikas Mohan, Sajid Nadiadwala and Ratan Jain that Ms Sherawat owes him money which she refuses to return.

Though hot bombshell Mallika Sherawat is currently busy with her Bollywood projects (KLPD), her stint in Hollywood continues to stay. It was in an item song with Mallika Sherawat in Bin Bulaye Baraat that Om Puri had raved about the oomphy lady. “Contrary to her image she is so decent, she should be called Mallika <em>Sharaafat</em>,” Om had exulted, expressing a wish to work at length with the <em>shareef</em> Sherawat. It seems someone up there heard Puri. Mallika has now been cast opposite the seasoned actor in K C Bokadia’s <em>Dirty Politics</em>, a film based on Bhanwari Devi who was allegedly murdered by a topnotch Rajasthan politician.
