Aamir Khan adopts two draught-hit villages in Maharashtra

Aamir Khan is setting a fine example in Bollywood. The perfectionist actor has adopted two villages in the draught-hit Maharashtra. The hamlets, Tal and Koregaon, are one of the worst-hit places in terms of water scarcity in Maharashtra. Aamir, whose NGO Paani Foundation is working in rural areas to create awareness about water conservation, is visiting villages to highlight the acute water crisis in the state. While praising Maharashtra government's Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyaan, he said, "Arresting rain water and conserving every drop are the only options to fight droughts and drought-like situations in the long run." The actor, who’s busy with Dangal, adopted villages in Kutch after the 2001 Gujarat earthquake.
