Anupam Kher signed for Sooraj Barjatya's next

With the announcement that Salman Khan would star in his forthcoming film, Sooraj Barjatya is now busy finalising the cast. The first recruit comes in the form of veteran Anupam Kher who, way back in 2006 featured in the production house’s Vivah that starred Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao besides the 1994 super hit Hum Aapke Hain Kaun. Confirming the same Kher tweeted, “Heard the script of Sooraj Barjatya’s next film. Brilliant, amazing. Man is a Genius. Happy to act in it.” On the choice of the heroine, the production house hasn’t yet found out a suitable actress. Interestingly a lot of actresses were in consideration like Kareena Kapoor, Nargis Fakhri and Deepika Padukone but nothing has fructified till now as Deepika too has excused herself out of the project due to unavailability of dates. Barjatya also wonders where the title Bhade Bhaiyya has come from. “It sounds like something that my film could be called; but it is not. All I can say at the moment is it’s a family film again. It has a lot of characters and each role has to be written carefully. The closure of the script will happen only when a voice from within me says it’s complete.” The film, that will roll sometime this year, is scheduled to release during Diwali next year.
