As an actor, you end up experiencing nasty things in your reel life that you may never face in real. Ayushmann Khurrana had to face digest not one but eight slaps while filming for his next, Dum Laga ke Haisha. And the slaps emanated from the robust palm of debutant Bhumi Pednekar.
In a crucial scene in the film, Bhumi had to portray immense anger and slap Ayushmann. However the debutant was very hesitant to give the shot.
Sources say that Bhumi flinched everytime when she went to slap Ayushmann. "She was very conscious and tensed about the act as she had to slap Ayushmann who is her senior," informs a source.
Bhumi ended up slapping Ayushmann seven times in her quest to get that perfect shot. After the 7th take, Ayushmann even joked about how Bhumi is purposely getting the take wrong as she is enjoying slapping him.
Finally, Ayushmann had a serious conversation with Bhumi, gave her a mini pep-talk and made her comfortable about the slap. Bhumi then isolated herself for 15 minutes and finally came back brilliantly to deliver the perfect slap on Ayushmann's face.
Ouch that must have hurt!
