Are you ready for a shocker of a news? Well, here it comes from the house of Zee TV. While all media reports pointed to the closure of 4 Lions Films’ Qubool Hai to make way for Sagar Pictures’ Jamai Raja, here is a fresh new development.
Instead of Qubool Hai, it will be FilmFarm India’s Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se that will go off air. The show has Arhaan Behll and Mansi Srivastava in lead roles.
Are you shocked?
Well, this certainly is something that has not been expected, because the show has been faring decently well at the TRP chart and is placed way above serials like Doli Armanon Ki, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, Ek Mutthi Aasmaan and Pavitra Rishta.
A source states that the axe was to fall either on Qubool Hai or Ek Mutthi Aasmaan, but the unpredictable has happened. It will be Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se that will shut shop. In a meeting held yesterday, the channel decided on the same. The producers have been informed and even the actors have gotten to know of it. There is a strange ambience seen today on the sets of Do Dil, as none of the cast and crew expected the show to go off air.”
We tried getting in touch with Producer Pintoo Guha, but he remained unavailable for comments.
However, a source from the set of the soap did confirm the sudden development.
We tried getting in touch with the channel spokesperson for a comment on the same, but they remained unavailable.
Also we get to hear that Qubool Hai will stay on for now, and Balaji Telefilms’ Pavitra Rishta has got an extension of three months.
Do Dil Bandhe will go off air on 1 August, and Jamai Raja will take its 8.30pm slot (Mon-Fri) from 4 August 2014. Jamai Raja which is loosely based on the Anil Kapoor – Madhuri Dixit starrer film with the same name has Ravi Dubey, Nia Sharma, Achint Kaur in lead roles.
