I ended up losing a beauty pageant for I wasn't dressed well - Shireen Mirza

Shireen Mirza
Shireen Mirza certainly does know what it feels like when dressed inappropriately. The very diligent and striking actress is seen playing a typical Punjabi kuddi Simmi in the show Ye Hai Mohabatein on Star Plus. In an exciting colloquy with the actress she shares some of her fashion outlooks and tips. Fashion is… Fashion is choosing the right type of attire that keeps you comfortable throughout the day. Who chooses your clothes? Earlier my sister used to choose my clothes till I started figuring out my own outfits. Do you wear accessories? I do, however not much. I like leaving my neck bare without any accessories if I am wearing a dress. But I do love wearing junk jewellery as well. Do you follow any brands? Yes I do follow a couple of brands. Dolce and Gabbana and Mango are my favourite choices for casuals. Favourite shopping destination? Dubai and London are my favourite shopping destinations. Your most expensive buy? I recently purchased a Dolce and Gabbana footwear worth fifty thousand rupees. Clothes you are comfortable in? Jeans and T-shirts are the best to keep you comfy and cosy in. Must have in your wallet? I don’t carry much. There has to be a lip gloss, a packet of tissues and of course my mobile phone. Your Favourite perfume? Elizabeth Arden Eau De and Blue Berry are the perfumes which I tend to use a lot. Describe sale in one word? Pleasurable Currently your wardrobe is overflowing with? My wardrobe is currently over flowing with plenty of jeans and T-shirts. You have had the hardest time getting dressed for? Not that I have a hard time dressing up, but I don’t really plan on what to wear beforehand. That really puts me into trouble. Any fashion disaster you have come across recently? Not recently. I remember dressing up pathetically for a beauty pageant and maybe that’s the reason I ended up losing. I was just seventeen then. If you had to choose a fashion era; which period would it be? I think it would be the nineties fashion era. The people then really had a different sense of dressing and grooming. I also feel that fashion sense is slowly making a comeback.
