Amitabh Bachchan meets real life Mardaani on KBC

The talented Rani Mukherjee who plays a senior inspector fighting evil crimes in the upcoming movie Mardaani met a real life crime fighter, Fatma Khatun on Sony Entertainment Television’s Kaun Banega Crorepati. A victim of human trafficking, Fatma showed immense courage to fight this crime. Married off at the age of 9 to a man thrice her age, Fatma was subjected to brutal physical abuses by her mother-in-law. Fatma’s in laws and husband dealt in trafficking which she witnessed in her house each day. With time, Fatma got the courage to help 5 women from her own house but in the bargain of being ruthlessly beaten up by her husband. Moved by her fighting spirit, Rani dedicated a few lines to Fatma, “Ek thi Jhansi ki Rani aur ek ho tum”. Rani also felicitated the brave heart with a Mardaani t-shirt and a medal. Overwhelmed by Rani’s appreciation, Fatma hugged and thanked her for her kind words and Mr. Bachchan for giving her the opportunity to be part of the show. Catch this emotional episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati on Thursday, 21 Aug at 8.30 pm on Sony Entertainment Television.
