People on the sets of Nisha Aur Uske Cousins call me 'bhai' - Aneri Vajani

Aneri Vajani is the next big thing in the world of television. She has already featured in Channel V’s Crazy Stupid Ishq and currently is playing the lead role of Nisha in Star Plus’ Nisha Aur Uske Cousins. She speaks to Tellychakkar.com about her challenges essaying the pivotal role. Says Aneri, “Essaying Nisha is extremely challenging. I was initially scared whether I would be able to do justice to the role as I am not at all similar to Nisha in my real life. Nisha is a tomboy who is straightforward, stubborn, does not like dressing up or parties and likes adventure based activities while I am an extrovert who loves partying, being socially active and having a good time. But shooting for 18 hours a day, the character has synced with my real life too. “ Elaborating on the same she adds, “This is by far the toughest role I have essayed. Now even I wake up in the morning and do not dress myself up much. In fact, the people on the sets have started calling me bhai.” That’s cool! Talking about her bonding with her senior and veteran co-actor VM Badola, she shares, “VM Badola is a gem of a person. I remember when I had injured myself he asked me to share his room and looked after me. He applied medicine and crape bandage. The cherry on the cake was when he shared his tiffin with me. Similar is the case with my director who is extremely calm even after 50 re-takes. “ Aneri claims that people who are closest to her on the sets are the beautiful Heli Daruwala and fine-looking Meherzan Mazda. “Heli and Meherzan both are people whom I can always count upon when I am sad or depressed.
