Sahil Phull who got introduced as the new male lead Ashfaque in Colors’ long-running show Uttaran is on cloud nine after bagging the prestigious Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Memorial National Teacher and Media Award – 2014 for his contribution to acting.
The young lad has been on the Colors show Uttaran for only two months, but the amount of fan following he has achieved is enormous. And the icing on the cake of course has been this recognition in the form of the prestigious award at the ministry level for his performance in Uttaran.
At the felicitation ceremony held in Delhi on 4 September, Sahil bagged the award. Here is a picture of him bagging the award.
When contacted, Sahil told Tellychakkar.com, “It's is a very touchy, emotional and proud moment for me to bag such a precious award in just two months of being on air in Uttaran.
I couldn't believe it at once. My hands were shaking while receiving this prestigious award as it was my first award function and then by the ministry of India. I am so flattered now and emotional. This gives me the inspiration and motivation to work harder and to go ahead in my career. I want to thank all, especially Nehum Rawat from Colors channel, as without her this wouldn't have been possible, and of course Rupali Guha ji from FilmFarm. My journey in Uttaran ended day before yesterday as I shot the last scenes on that day and yesterday a new journey has started after receiving this prestigious award. I think you can achieve anything if you are focussed, consistent and are a hard worker.”
Congratulations, Sahil!!
