Nobody from my family died in Kolar road accident, clarifies Sonali Bendre

A few days back reports of Sonali Bendre’s brother and uncle having died in a road accident started doing the rounds in the media. The said accident reportedly occurred near Kolar on the Mulbagal- Nangali Road on 16 September 2014 when a Hyundai i10 car collided with a Tata Sumo. Five persons were injured out of which two persons died. The deceased were strangely linked to Sonali’s family as her brother and uncle. As the news started spreading like wildfire, concerned relatives and friends called Sonali and her husband Goldie Behl to offer condolences. Flabbergasted at the disturbing and unfortunate turn of events, the actress decided to jump into damage control mode and issued a clarification stating that there is absolutely no truth in any of these rumours and that no one from her family was involved in the accident. . Putting speculation to rest Sonali Bendre confirmed,” I would like to clarify that nobody from my family was part of the road accident that occurred near Kolar. I do not know where these rumors are stemming from. May God give strength to the families of the deceased.” Well, looks like gossip mongers went a bit too far this time.
