Apart from being a talented thespian, he is also pretty deft in money matters. He chats with us for our lifestyle section.
How important is money to you?
Money is important for me but it’s not a priority for sure.
Are you an impulsive buyer?
Not at all. I am quite levelheaded that way. And in any case, I am not much of a buyer.
What are the investments that you have made?
My dad looks into that as he is into properties. But yes I do have a bad habit of buying stocks, so I do have some investment there too.
What has been your most expensive purchase?
With my own money, I think my car three years back was the most expensive purchase.
Do you feel financially secure?
Yes I do. I have been into my business and act only for the love of the art. I would have been making more money if I was still in my business.
Who handles your expenses?
I handle it completely. I know what I want and when and how should I get it.
What was your first salary?
I did a role in a film when I was quite young and earned Rs 800 for a day. I had bought my mom earrings with that money.
How much money do you carry every day?
Not much, just a couple of thousand and my cards.
Your advice to new investors?
Invest in lucid stocks and also in gold and silver. If you have more money to invest do so in properties; it’s a real good deal.
