In Bollywood, there are superstars and then there are actors. The former inevitably becomes the hero of the film while the latter remains always an actor irrespective of the role given. And for an actor, it is the character that is important and not the type of that character.
Echoing the same thought was actor Manoj Bajpai at the trailer launch of Tevar. Manoj who plays a character with grey shades said that the concept of hero and villain was something that he could never comprehend. "I don't understand the concept of ‘Hero and Villain’. It is the character given to me that is important and I just understand the character without connoting it to heroism or villainy."
On the professional front, Manoj will be seen playing a prominent role in Tevar opposite Arjun Kapoor. Even though villainy surrounds his role, Manoj saw the same in a different light. Talking about his character, Manoj said, "My character is very romantic in the film. I have not treated this character as a Villain. I have treated this role as that of a lover boy who is madly in love with this girl. He is a Bahubali of Mathura belonging to a big family. I have seen the conflict as a human being and not treated it as larger than life."
Well, looks like Tevar will unleash the full range of Manoj's powerful acting after long.
