I have started enjoying my negative character - Vivek Dahiya

The charming actor Vivek Dahiya, who is seen playing the current ‘villain’ in Veera’s life, is on seventh heaven having found a great character in his first show Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera (Beyond Dreams Entertainment) on Star Plus. “Rajveer, who was initially a nice guy, has now become an obsessive lover. He is very negative and cunning and is now hell-bent on getting Veera (Digangana Suryavanshi) in his life. Viewers will also get to see a lot more facets about Rajveer and his craziness for Veera. It is going to be an adventurous ride for sure,” quipped Vivek. Wasn’t he apprehensive of making a debut with a negative shade? “Initially I was not mentally prepared about doing such an extremely negative character, but eventually with the way the audience accepted it, I am enjoying every bit of it. Rajveer is not a usual character seen on TV, and the variations the directors have given make it all the more interesting,” the actor replied. Talking about his team Vivek averred, “I don’t think I could have asked for a better debut. The cast and production house are supportive and I don’t feel an outsider at all. Everyone is such a sweetheart that I have a great time shooting. The show has been a blessing for me. The directors let me work on my character individually and that has really helped me grow as a performer.” Not many TV actors watch their shows, but this actor shared that he is hooked on to his show. “Trust me I wait to go home and catch Veera on TV. It’s not just that I want to see my performance but the show is a beautifully made and is superbly enjoyable. Also as we shoot for just our scenes we don’t get to know what is happening with the other characters in the show, and watching the show actually helps one in getting into the depth of the plot,” he shared. That’s quite a great thought, Vivek.
