Television industry's most renowned trouble shooter is no more. Bansilal Jumaani well known numerologist and father of television anchor and numerologist, Sanjay B Jumaani breathed his last this evening at home in Mumbai following a severe cardiac arrest. Sanjay B Jumaani and Bansilal Jumaani The father son duo reportedly advised Ekta to add 'K' to all her serial's titles, and in the process helped her garner funds and fame. The two were also responsible for no 99 being to changed to 24 on Saurav Ganguly's T-shirt. While Ganguly heeded their suggestion and went to score three centuries, L.O.C's producers did not and their film bombed at the box office... as they predicted it would (or so they say). In the early 1970s, Bansilal Jumaani began by advising friends and family on various issues - like marriage, business , lucky dates and lucky colours. What began as a hobby, turned into a profession for him when his friends advised and encouraged him to take his hobby to another level. Bansilal Jumaani was otherwise a financer (broker) by profession, but his true calling lay in numerology. Tellychakkkar.com spoke to some of the industrywallahas who have benifitted from the numerologist...they spoke fondly of the father and son duo who have helped them out when all seemed lost! It's very sad to hear about Bansilal Jumani's death. I have known the Jumanis for almost two years now and met Bansilal Jumani last year. He was an extremely straight forward person and he didn't believe in being diplomatic. He changed my name. The last time I'd met him he told me he was planning to retire -- Amit Behl changed his name to Amith Behll. Soon after the actor bagged a role in Ek Ladki Anjaani Si, a DD show, Mamta, Chi and Me and loads of theatre assignments My mother is spiritually inclined and curious about numerology so she spoke to Mr Jumaani often. I met him nine months back and he told me that the biggest gift my parents could give me was my perfectly spelt name which needed no changes. My mother looked at him as an inspiration. In fact last week my mother wanted his number as she wanted to speak to him. It's quite shocking for me to hear about his death -- Deeya Singh had consulted the duo for Jassi Jaisi...and the rest, as they say, is histrory I have known him for three and a half years. He was a nice, humble and sweet person. He suggested a change in the name of my theatre company even before I joined Balaji. He has suggested me a change in my spelling as well! He has been very helpful in my career and I can't believe that he is no more -- Creative head of Kasamh Se and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Sandeep Sikand changed his name to Sandiip Sikcand I have known him for six years although I have met him only once. At that point of time I was not financially well off and had just begun my career so I'd told him that I would not be able to pay him if the fees was high but Bansilalji offered to give me consultations and helped me in every way possible. I am feeling extremely shocked -- Changed her name from Tasneem Shaikh to Tassnim Sheikh and soon after her marriage he changed it to Tanishaa I've never met Bansilal Jumani but have heard so much about him from his son Sanjay Jumani. In fact Sanjay has imbibed all the qualities from his father! May God give him strength to cope with this and may Bansilal's soul rest in peace -- Rajiv Paul changed his name to Rajev and bagged shows like Twinkle Beauty Parlour and Kavyanjali
