There are many who feel that Sanjay Dutt's repeated leave of absence is the result of a special privilege that he enjoys by virtue of being a celebrity. However, the actor clarified that he was never treated as a special case while granting paroles or furloughs.

Out on a 14-day leave now, Sanjay Dutt told reporters, "Furlough is the right of every prisoner. I didn't get any special treatment. I had applied for furlough five months back and it has only been approved now. Had I been given special treatment, it would have been sanctioned in 15 days."

Sanjay also revealed that he had shed a whooping 18 kilos of weight while in prison and showed off his toned abs to the media. He was later seen having a jolly good time with his wife and kids at a screening of PK specially organised for him by Raju Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

The actor on whose life a biopic is being made by Raju Hirani also told the media that the filmmaker has the necessary rights and permission to make a film on his life. When asked if Ranbir Kapoor was the right choice to play his role in the biopic, Sanjay said that he was nobody to decide on that aspect.
