Nisha Sareen and Vikram Kapadia will be part of Speed's latest production, Birdsong, (directed by Poonam Sareen) which will be performed on 8 April at St Andrews Auditorium, Bandra.
The play is about the stress and tensions of our daily lives, the deadlines, the pressure and expectations.
Nisha, a known face on television has done serials like, Kavyanjali and K Street Pali Hill, an films like Joggers Park. She'll play an upwardly mobile lawyer from Mumbai who meets a travel writer Abhay Shrivastava (Siddharth Kannan). Abhay helps set the bird within her free and enables her to hear the Birdsong!
The actor, who has been in theatre since she was six has also acted on stage with Sandeep Sikand's My Best Friend's Wedding, and Vikram Kapadia's Black With Equal.
Vikram Kapadia who has acted in shows like K Street Pali Hill and Kavyanjali, has been on stage for over two decades. A director, actor, writer and filmmaker, Vikram is also behind the theatre group Masque. His first play Life in The Dark, a half hour monologue, has been selected and published in the monthly edition of the P.EN.
Vikram's directorial ventures include, Girish Karnad's Tughlaq, Shakespeare's Julius Caesar co-directed with Naseerudin Shah for NCPA, Romeo And Juliet and the highly acclaimed Going Solo.
