Late Ponty Chaddha wanted Priyanka Chopra to perform an item song in Ab Tak Chappan 2

Ab Tak Chappan 2 is a hard-hitting encounter specialist drama with little or no space of Bollywood clichés like song and dance. The movie which is tightly scripted and extremely fast pace has minimal background score. But had liquor baron Ponty Chadha (Owner of Waves cinema that is presenting the film) been alive, he would have in all probability got Priyanka Chopra to perform for an item number in the sequel. Unfortunately, his sudden death changed things and the idea was nipped in the bud.

Reveals Ab Tak Chappan 2 director Aejaz Gulab, "Given that it's a hard-hitting and very real film, we wanted to keep songs and dance away. But Ponty sir wanted an item song to make it more commercial. There were plans to get Priyanka Chopra to do an item number. But his death changed it all."

While late Ponty had plans to rope in Priyanka, the actress was never approached as the plans were nixed due to Ponty's death.

Well, a Priyanka Chopra item song would have certainly lifted the film by notches, we feel.
