The Kapoors have been a distressed lot over the past few days owing to Sonam’s ill-health. While Sonam was admitted to Kokilaben hospital a couple of weeks back for weakness and was put on drip, what really scared the Kapoors was Sonam testing positive for the dreaded swine flu.
The actress contracted the virus while shooting in Rajkot for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Sonam was initially admitted to Sterling Hospital from where she was airlifted to Mumbai and wheeled into Kokilaben Ambani hospital on Sunday morning. Thankfully, the actress is well on the road to recovery as confirmed by her father Anil Kapoor to us yesterday.
Said Anil, “She was not very well on Sunday but thankfully she started responding well on Monday morning. She has been kept under observation for the moment by the doctors. Thankfully, she is recovering well now. She will remain in hospital for the next one week or so. Once she is back home, we all are planning to take a holiday.”
The concerned father also said that it was the terrible environment that was to be blamed for the bout of swine flu that has plagued the city. He however expressed good hope that government is taking all precautions necessary to keep the virus at bay.
Anil was speaking at the launch of luxury villa Resovilla, a project unfurled by his director friend Abhinay Deo and Santosh Naik of Disha Direct. Anil also became the first owner of a luxury villa of Resovilla.
