'Fifty Shades of Grey' banned in India

Fifty Shades of Grey

American erotic romantic drama “Fifty Shades of Grey” has been banned in India.

The country's film censors decided the raunchy film was too explicit for India's film-hungry audiences, even after all nudity was edited out of the film, reports dailystar.co.uk.

Malaysia, Indonesia and Kenya have also banned the controversial film, which is an adaptation of the E.L. James book.

Malaysian censors said the film was "more like pornography than a movie" and contained "scenes that are not of a natural sexual content".

The film, starring Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steel, is the highest grossing 18-rated film in British box office history, bringing in at least 262 million pounds worldwide since it premiered last month.
