Payal Sarkar out of Shakuntala

As if Neha Mehta’s haughty tantrums were not enough to give Shakuntala’s makers a tough time, now there is one more buzz that has become a headache for the production house. Payal Sarkar aka Gauri’s track will soon be over in Shakuntala due to unavailability of her dates. A source informed, “As of now the producers don’t want to go ahead with Payal’s track because she is unable to give dates to Shakuntala due to her commitments with Ladies Special. There has also been a tug-off-war between Optimystix and the makers of Shakuntala for Payal.” Further the source added, “Actually Shakuntala has not been doing well but Ladies Special has become the talk of the town and Payal knows this very well. She doesn’t want to lose Ladies Special at the cost of Shakuntala. Sagar Pictuers had also spoken to Optimystix if they can manage to give some of dates of Payal to them but all in vain. So now it’s been decided to hold her track for some time and if things remain the same then her track may be ended for ever in the show.” We contacted producer Meenakshi Sagar who said, “The current track revolves completely around Shakuntala and Dushyant, after all they are the main leads of the show. But as for Payal, we will not be continuing with her character in the show, if the need arises then we will try to bring her back.” Commenting on the news Payal said, “I guess that my track is over in the show and I will be concentrating on Ladies Special . If I am needed back in Shakuntala, they will call me back.”
