Actors take guard for a noble cause

Bollywood actors will mark the 'World Tobacco Day' in style today. They will participate in a day-night cricket match between the actors and doctors organized by the Cancer Patients Aids Association (CPAA) at Mumbai Police Gymkhana on Saturday. The bollywood team will be led by actor Suniel Shetty with others like Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan. Reitesh Deshmukh, Zayed Khan, cricketer Vinod Kambli and Boman Irani being part of the team. Actor Salman Khan, speaking in a press conference on Thursday, urged the government to curb the sale of tobacco and alchohol, he said, "If these are so bad then why does the government not ban it?" YK Saproo, chairman of CPAA said that the proceedings of the match will be given to the cancer patients' welfare fund. Telly actors Yash Tonk and Asheish Chowdhary will also be present, being a part of Sohail Khan's film, Fight Club that is associated with the event. Television and film actors will attend the cricket match to show their solidarity with the cause.
