A wedding that never happened!

This was perhaps the most awaited wedding on Indian television and also perhaps the most publicised - hoardings in bus stands, promos all over the telly, celebrity designers and cross promotions in other Sony shows, no effort has been spared in creating a hooplah around Jassi and Armaan's wedding. But finally on D-day, the wedding never happened! That's what we call a damp squib!
"The wedding has already started. Yes, the saat pheras haven't taken place and you know that Indian weddings are a long drawn out affair," says the script head of the show, Salil Sand. The mahurat of the wedding now will happen on Monday, wich will be an extension of the same day. There were speculations galore about the actual fate of the wedding itself. Some said that Armaan is going to marry his previous flame, Mallika, justifying it by pointing out that if Jassi and Armaan tie the knot, then that will be the end of the show. It was also believed that Armaan's latest secretary is going to be his bride, but Pooja Ghai laughs this off. "No, I am not getting married to Armaan," says Pooja. Meanwhile, for those who are not glued in to the show, Jassi was supposed to get married to Araman on 5 August, on a day Jassi… does not air. This was a special episode to bring in Jassi's wedding that was eventually foiled by Purab's friend, CJ (Vikas Bhalla). Sources tell us that the twist in the tale was not a planned one, as is usually the case, but a forced one. There was even a showdown on the sets regarding about someone leaking the story out. There are also innumerable stories floating around about the supposed wedding never happening. "Wait and watch" is all that Salil is ready to let out. The wedding was planned to attract the attention of viewers to Sony, in the wake of the launch of Star's cult show, KBC2, with the wedding not happening and an unwanted twist (most feel that Jassi and Armaan's misunderstandings have gone on for a long time and that it is time they do something different) have surely left the audiences feeling betrayed!
