I like to be in news only for right reasons - Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma is a happy actress today. Her maiden venture as a producer, NH10 has received high critical acclaim putting a smile onto her face. With accolades flowing in for her hard-hitting performance, the actress is beaming with pride. Not to forget the exploits of her cricketer beau Virat Kohli in the World Cup we are sure is also secretly making her more joyous. For not too long ago, barbs were aimed at Anushka and Virat with some unflattering reports suggesting Anushka's presence in England as the reason behind Virat's then failure. A lot of water has flown under the bridge since then. Anushka's personal life too came under great scrutiny with questions about her relationship with Virat being quizzed at every media event.

Anushka had finally admitted in an interview given to us before PK's release that she is indeed dating Virat Kohli. Post the release of PK and now NH10, the spotlight is firmly back on Anushka's professional life, a fact that makes the actress rejoice.

Says Anushka, "I am happy. What else do you want. I am not someone who has ever discussed my personal life or wanted to be in news for any other reason than my work."

Pointing out how she has never tried to gain mileage for anything other than her film, Anushka explains, "You would have never seen me out there trying to make news even when I am not doing a film. I have never tried to get into papers. It's not my job to get myself spoken about. It's your (media) job if you feel that my work should be spoken and written about. Ofcourse you are talking about me now because my film has released."

Anushka further hopes she will be in news for all good and right reasons in future hinting at how she doesn't like her relationship with Virat being written about. "I would appreciate if am in the news only for the right reasons."
