Rajat Tokas quits Jodha Akbar after a major tiff with director Santram

Rajat Tokas

Shocking…shocking…shocking!!!

The much loved Rajat Tokas, who has made a great impact as the royal King Akbar in Balaji Telefilms’s love story Jodha Akbar on Zee TV, has moved out of the show.

Yes, the fiercely talented Rajat is no more a part of the project owing to a huge brawl with director Santram that happened today morning.

Shared an onlooker from the sets, “Rajat who had always been close to Santram were discussing a scene early morning when suddenly some differences led to a huge fight. Santram who is known for his short temper, hurled abuses at Rajat leaving his ego bruised. The actor called Ekta Kapoor and told her that he wasn’t interested in working with the show anymore.”

The crew and cast were left shocked and tried to pacify Rajat but he did not want to relent. Ekta too is trying her best to keep Rajat back, but the actor seems in no mood to continue with the serial.

As per sources, the makers are trying to figure out the creative plot with Rajat’s absence if he really leaves. In most probability, the show will take a leap showing Salim’s (Ravi Bhatia) life post his father’s death.

But a khabru also whispered in our ears that all this drama was to get Rajat out of the show, as he and his wife are very keen to participate in the upcoming season of Nach Baliye. With both the shows being helmed by the same production house, it’s a win-win for all.

We tried reaching Rajat and Ekta but they chose not to clear the clouds over this story.

But Tellychakkar.com promises to keep you updated on the same.
