Popularly known as Dippy in Bollywood, she is one of the leading ladies of B-Town who makes the hearts of many flutter by screen presence.Deepika was born on 5th January 1986 in Denmark. She completed her schooling from Sophia High School,and graduated from Mount Carmel College and Indira Gandhi National Open University for a Bachelor of Arts but dropped out. She started off her career with modelling and was badminton champion at the national level but later gave up her dream to pursue the glamor industry. She made her debut in Bollywood with Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om in 2007 opposite Sharukh Khan and was crtically acclaimed for her success. She then continued to work in blockbusters like Bachna Ae Haseeno, Housefull,Lafangey Parindey, Love Aaj Kal,Aarakshan, Desi Boyz, Cocktail,Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani,Chennai Express,Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela etc. She also delivered some flop films like Chandni Chowk to China, Karthik Calling Karthik, Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey,etc. Deepika with her versality and her passion for acting has moved on to become one of the highest paid and acclaimed actresses in the industry.
