Actor Afzaal Khan, who was last seen as the task master in Channel V’s popular show Sadda Haq, has now bagged a pivotal role in Life OK’s upcoming show, Piya Rangrezz (Sphere Origins Productions).
Afzaal will play the role of liquor queen, Narayani Shastri’s brother, named Munna Mama.
Well, history repeats itself for Narayani and Afzaal, as they will be playing siblings after seven long years in a TV show. The last time they were cast in a show, Afzaal played the negative brother of Narayani’s character in the show Sanskaar on Doordarshan.
As per a reliable source, “Afzaal will play a negative character yet again in Piya Rangrezz. He will be the person handling affairs at Narayani’s arrack hub, and will try to be as close as possible towards his sister and sister’s son (Gaurav S. Bajaj). However, Narayani’s character will not trust her brother when it would come to the monetary part. Munna mama will pretend to love his nephew, Gaurav S. Bajaj, but will want his son Vikas (Rujut Dahiya) to take charge of the entire liquor business.”
When contacted, Afzaal confirmed the news saying, “Yes, I have started shoot for Piya Rangrezz. And it is a pleasant feeling to share screen space with Narayani yet again, after so many years.”
