Salman Khan found guilty in 2002 hit-and-run case; to go to jail

It is a black day for all Salman Khan fans!!!

The Bhai of Bollywood has been held guilty in the 2002 hit and run case in the court today (6 May). Salman has been convicted of running over people sleeping on the pavement with his SUV on September 28, 2002.

As per latest information Salman arrived in the Mumbai Session Court and was given the final verdict of being guilty on all charges in the 12 year old case.

Additional Sessions Judge DW Deshpande announced the decision and convicted him on charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder. The actor may face a jail term of maximum 10 years for the crime. Though the quantum of punishment is yet to be decided.

Salman Khan had told the court that his driver Ashok Singh was driving the car at the time of the accident. But the court said, "You were driving the car."

The actor who has releases like Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo kept sombre throughout the entire session.

Salman has seven charges against which includes found guilty of endangering the life or personal safety of others, drunk driving, not informing the police and leaving the spot after the accident.
