Is Life OK obsessed with love triangles?

Television dramas are suddenly churning out love triangles, which are working out for the makers. But one channel, which has taken the theme way too seriously, is Life OK, as the GEC seems to bank only on this plot currently.

From Piya Rangrezz (Sphereorigins) to Mere Rang Mein Rangnewali (Rajshri Productions) to Kalash (Balaji Telefilms) to Dream Girl (Shashi Sumeet Productions), all four soap operas of the channel are currently focusing on love triangles.

Piya Rangrezz- With a dark storyline set in the backdrop of UP, Piya Rangrezz is about a rough lover boy Sher (Gaurav S. Bajaj), who is smitten by the sweet natured Shraddha (Kirtida Mistry). The twist in the plot is Virat’s (Sahil Phull), Sher’s cousin brother, obsession for Sher’s wife. Unexpected, isn’t it? We guess it is indeed difficult for Shraddha to choose between two good looking men. Sher wins a thumbs up from our side for his raw appeal.

Kalash- This one is a typical love triangle where the hero aka Ravi (Krrip Suri) and heroine aka Devika (Aparna Dixit) are completely head over heels with each other. And then enters the villain in the form of Saket (Mahesh Shetty), to marry Devika. But after many struggles, the lovey dovey couple confesses their feelings and gets back together, only to face some more bitter truths. Though the entire plot has not yet been aired, a little birdie has whispered this to us! (Wink Wink)

Dream Girl- Lakshmi (Nikita Dutta) is an independent girl, whose first priority is her career. But that doesn’t stop others from falling in love with the girl, right? And that is what  happens with Karan (Kunal verma) and Samar (Mohsin Khan). While Samar has gone to the extent of confessing his love for Lakshmi, Karan is still confused about his feelings, but definitely has a tender spot for her in his heart. Personally speaking, we love to see a rough and tough man changing into a soft, kind-hearted person in love, rather than a typical chocolate boy.  We prefer Karan, of course!

Mere Rang Mein Rangnewali- The romantic love saga of LD (Samridh Bawa) and Radha (Pranali Ghogare)  promised to deliver a fresh take on romance. Their love-hate relationship struck the right chord with the audiences. As we know, once the couple confesses their love, nothing much is left for the viewers. So, the makers decided to separate them and introduce a new man in Radha’s life, Kabir (Khushwant Walia). And guess what ? The newly introduced love triangle gave a solid kick to the TRP charts.

Though all the four series seemed to have followed the same trick, their unique story line is keeping the audience hooked to their TV screens.
