Akshay Dogra always seems at ease when he dons various challenging roles on TV as an actor. But now, Akshay has added yet another feather in his cap, by pursuing his talent in writing.
Well, the actor has now turned writer, and has been assisting renowned writer Jyoti Tandon. As of now, he writes screenplays for & TV’s Bhagyalakshmi under the writer’s guidance.
Says Akshay, “Yes, it is true that I have turned a writer. For the past two months or so, I have been assisting Jyoti Tandon on her show Bhagyalakshmi. The sequences that I have written have already gone on air, and I have been appreciated for my writing abilities. It has been a good learning curve so far, and it is a privilege to be associated with a Rashmi Sharma show.”
So does it mean that acting takes a back seat for Akshay? “I have become very choosy when it comes to accepting roles as an actor. However, I recently shot for Aahat, just to see and experiment how I cope up with my acting as well as writing schedules. I will not say, I will not accept roles on TV. But I am on the lookout for something really challenging now. Till then, I will want my pen to speak.”
Akshay, all the best for the writer in you!!
