Sangram Singh (Bigg Boss, Badi Dooooor Se, Shapath) has made Indians proud by lifting the coveted title of Commonwealth Wrestling Heavyweight Championship at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in South Africa.
He defeated Canada’s Joe Legend to bring Indian the honour. But what’s equally commendable is his decision to take part in the competition as the ‘Last Man Standing’, where the participants are not protected by the organizers in case of injuries and fatalities.
Considering his comeback to the game happened a good three years after his last professional match, the move was a rather bold one. In fact, he is said to be the first wrestler to have agreed to such a contract.
All’s well that ends well! Here’s wishing the wrestler many more such laurels in the future. He also took to Twitter to thank his fans.
