Nishant V Anand

The good looking Nishant V Anand although lawyer by profession is today strengthening his grounds in the acting world. After playing roles in Sadda Haq and Webbed is also the Fitness Brand Ambassador of a magazine.

Though been actively involved in modeling and acting, the handsome guy took the non-celeb route in the much popular Splitsvilla 8. Having recently been ousted from the show, Nishant spoke at length about his experience in the controversial reality show. Have a read at this unbarred interview!

How has been your experience in the show? “I had a great experience on Splitsvilla, it is a platform which allowed me to connect with a large young audience and gave me a chance to showcase my skills. I really enjoyed the overall association with the show. Goa as a location was also lot of fun. Enjoyed learning the ropes of reality shows under the experienced eyes of Ranvijay Singh and Sunny Leone.”

Talking about is take on celebs boys been given more preference, he said, “Yes, I think they were given more importance but that might be a channel strategy. I feel, the non celebrity participants were also given reasonable exposure and it all boils down to individual talent. In my case, I feel I trumped over competition and I am extremely encouraged by the feedback I am receiving post Splitsvilla 8.”

“To be honest, I had entered Splitsvilla to create a niche for myself and wanted to meet a certain benchmark in terms of my own performance. I did not lose sleep over competition and was rather focused on giving my best shot. I think I did a great job and I am satisfied with my performance,” Nishant said talking about the competition.

Did you really find love? “Well, I don't think I found love as yet, but I surely took away meaningful friendships from this show.”

Even though you have been part of TV shows earlier, why did you participate as a normal contestant? “It is good to remain simple and grow slowly. I made a mark even as a normal contestant and that was more important.”

When we asked if contestants fake in the show, he said, “To be honest, I may not be best place to comment on it since I did not fake around. But it all depends on how someone takes such platforms. I guess the audience is very smart and can easily discern between natural v/s fake reactions. It depends on individual sensibilities and possibly craving to do well. There is no need to fake if one is confident of his/her craft.”

And finally talking about his experience of working with Sunny and Rannvijay, Nishant said, “It was fabulous and learnt a lot from them. They are established celebrities in their own rights and have worked hard to get there. I wish to create a mark for myself in the showbiz industry and it is always helpful to learn from seniors.”

Good luck Nishant!
