Meet Deepak Singh Sandhu, the latest 'fitness freak' of small screen

Deepak Singh Sandhu

Actor Deepak Singh Sandhu, last seen on Life OK’s Shapath (Fireworks Productions), is currently busy attending a workshop on Hatha Yoga, a special branch of Yoga that helps in flexibility.

And for those who are wondering why Deepak picked up this new exercise regime, let us inform you that his obsession with fitness goes a long way. The hard work has paid off too as he now possess killer abs.

Deepak shared with us, “After participating in Gladrags Man Hunt, I was offered a few roles on television and did a couple of shows. But I was not getting any fame. During that time, everyone advised me to get a muscular and toned body. I thought that it was a requirement of the industry so I started working on the same and finally achieved it. In past two years, I have only worked when it was needed, otherwise channelized most of my time and energy in getting the new look.”

So, what matters the most, looks or skills? Deepak quipped, “For me, both are equally important. I give a bit more attention to acting, while the industry requires looks. Even on the screen, the appearance comes before the  performance.”

We also quizzed him about his inspiration and the young man quickly replied, “There are many stars like Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan (especially in O Jane Jana song), Sanjay Dutt, and Akshay Kumar, as I prefer a muscular and bulky body. But honestly speaking, I simply loved Akshay in Baby. I think he has perfectly nailed the art.”
