Varun Sharma is on ‘cloud nine’ these days. And why not, the actor has been receiving positive response from viewers on his show Bhagyalakshmi on &TV. The show by Rashmi Sharma has Varun playing the lead Anshuman.
Speaking on the response he has been getting, Varun averred, “I think you start your life as a plain canvas and paint on it as you move forward. I can’t explain in words how overwhelming the response has been. Unlike my other shows, this is my first show as a main lead and the feeling is great. It definitely feels proud to see people loving the show so much. Every day I receive messages about how much people love Bhagyalakshmi.”
Talking about his chemistry with co-star Simran Pareenja, he said, “She is a good friend and a wonderful actor. She is very hard working. She has amazing innocent eyes. She can act through her eyes and that is great for her. I love doing romantic scenes with my co-star. Angry scenes are too harsh, as it tends to be little rude.”
Like all new actors, Varun too feels blessed to be working along with veteran actor Aruna Irani. “Aruna ji has done a lot of movies, but she is still down to earth. She is too energetic and humble. She also appreciates my work,” quoted the actor.
What are your strong points as an actor? He shared, “I can easily do emotional as well as intense scenes.”
What do you need to change about yourself? “I am too moody and an introvert kind of a person. I take time to open up and don’t make friends easily. I have a few friends who are very close to me. In my leisure time, I like to spend time with my family. So I think I need to be more social and should mingle with people around me,” ended Varun.
