Let’s set the facts straight. We enjoy adult-comedies. In fact, we have enjoyed the first two editions of the Kyaa Kool series. But the third flick Kyaa Kool Hain Hum3’s trailer tries to do everything at the same time and fails to make us laugh.
Agreed, there a couple of genuinely funny one-liners thrown in, but that’s about it. Hello! We have grown past the double-meaning jokes era *yawn*
The trailer opens with a woman’s O-noise in the background and the two protagonists’ (Tusshar Kapoor and Aftab Shivdasani) intro. The two actors, in over-the-top acting and thrusting, play goofy pornstars. When Tusshar falls in love with Mandana Karimi’s character, he has to recruit his fellow pornstars as his sanskaari ‘family’.
What follows is a set of misadventures involving porn, sex, crude gestures, gyrating women and an unsuspecting father. Phew! While we are all for sex jokes, there’s nothing classy about degrading women and showing them as lust-struck creatures only ready for a hot bang.
The background score is peppy, throwing us off-balance from the madness of the flick, but we guess that’s what the makers wanted. Both Tusshar and Aftab make supreme efforts to look and play their parts…and in few scenes, they succeed too.
The rest of the actors look perpetually high on something because they are just too happy on the scene! (Cue: Claudia Ciesla's super happy face). Replete with sexual innuendos and racy jokes, the movie is supposed to be India’s first porn-comedy. Porn sure, but comedy? In fact, we don’t know how much of the porn part would make it to the theaters, considering our censor board’s famous scissors.
The movie, set to release on January 22, 2016, looks like a mash-up of most adult comedies that we have seen. Will the plot actually be Kool? Well, we would have to wait and watch for that!
