Actor Sharhaan Singh will spice up affairs in Zee TV's Lajwanti (Trilogy Media Productions).
As per sources, he has been roped in to play the Special Officer who would be in charge of the border at Peshawar.
As we know, the story line in Lajwanti is presently focussing on the painful separation of people owing to the Partition. And it is believed that Yakub Mirza, the character played by Sharhaan will be responsible in separating the two lovers, Sunder (Sid Makkar) and Lajwanti (Ankita Sharma).
A credible source tells us, "Sharhaan will play the rough and tough emotionless officer who would only think about his love for his country. His hatred for Indians will spell doom on Sunder and Lajjo as they will be stuck on the different sides of the border."
Viewers will see a painful sequence wherein Sunder and Lajjo, stuck in different borders will request Yakub to unite them by allowing Lajjo to cross the Pakistani border and come to India. However Yakub would not allow the lovers to unite.
It is believed that Yakub will play a prominent role in the story ahead.
When contacted, Sharhaan confirmed the news but refused to divulge details.
Sharhaan has started shoot and his entry will happen soon.
