With snow-kissed scenes in the background, there’s something magical about Fitoor. There’s madness, passion, pining for a lover, and the complexities of culture and politics in this Abhishek Kapoor venture.
Based on Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations, the trailer flits between Noor and Firdaus’ (Aditya Roy Kapoor and Katrina Kaif) star-crossed love, Tabu’s stunning take on Miss Havesham (from the novel), and the fairy-tale like picturesque locations of Kashmir.
Do Noor and Firdaus end up together? Will their fates be as complicated as that of Pip and Estelle? (from the novel).
Phew! We wouldn’t know till we watch the movie, but we can be sure that the trailer is promising and quite unique. The fresh pairing of Sid and Kat is sizzling hot, while Tabu looks striking and packs quite a punch as the matriarch dead against the poor boy-rich girl love story.
The story might be clichéd, but the treatment sure looks hatke, especially when Kashmir politics is thrown in the mix. Adi’s dialogue ‘doodh mango kheer denge, Kashmir maango cheer denge’ resonates even after the trailer has ended. Sigh. We just can’t wait for the movie to hit the screens.
The film releases on February 12, 2016 and stars Aditya Roy Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, and Tabu in leading roles. It’s directed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapoor.
