After rumours of Shilpa Shinde aka Angoori Bhabhi threatening to quit &TV’s Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai, hunt for the new Bhabhiji is on.
There were rumours of Rashami Desai doing the show but nothing came of it. The other actress, rumoured to be approached for the role, is Lapataganj fame Sucheta Khanna.
We called up Sucheta to congratulate her on her new project...but she was surprised and said, “I have not been approached for Angoori’s role so how can I can do the show? These are all baseless rumours.”
She continued, “I was approached for May I Come in Madam two months back. I gave a look test for that, but things did not get finalized. But I was never approached for Bhabiji.”
Would you like to portray Angoori’s character? She quipped, “It’s a tough work to get into an established character. In fact, I replaced Kitty’s character in Karamchand, which did not work out for me. So I am not sure about the idea of replacement.”
