Talented actor Aamir Ali will be back on screen from tonight as the new lead of Zee TV’s Sarojini (Rashmi Sharma Productions).
Yes, as Tellychakkar.com exclusively reported, Aamir will go on to play a guy from the town, by name Rishabh.
Talking about his character, Aamir says, “Rishabh will be a Lucknowite, a bit different from the other characters in the show. He will be a fun-loving, chilled out guy but there will be some secret that will hinder his approach. He will enter the life of Sarojini (Shiney Doshi) and the story will open up on the reason why the man is in the house.”
For Aamir, this is the first experience working with Rashmi Sharma. “This character is very different from what I have played so far. This project happened pretty fast for me, and in three days of being offered the role, I actually started shooting for it. Working with Rashmi Sharma, I am sure will be a great experience.”
Ask him whether he is fine about getting into the place occupied by Mohit Sehgal, and he avers, “No, this role is actually fresh. This is a new character, and this makes it all the more challenging. Zee TV is a great place to work with, and so is the production house. So there is no looking back.”
There has been a change in time slot for Sarojini recently. Does this affect you in any way? “See, the concept of prime time has changed nowadays. And I have always believed that when a shot gets a change in time slot, it usually does well.”
Ask him about his look in the show, and he states, “I sport a stubble for my role. This guy will not have an over-the-top dressing style.”
Aamir who was recently seen with wife Sanjeeda Sheikh in Sony TV’s Power Couple actually wanted to opt for a break and travel with his wife. However, destiny had something else in store. “My thought process after Power Couple was to lie low and take a break. We had in fact planned a trip, but I had to cancel everything when I bagged Sarojini. I am thankful that I have a supportive wife in Sanjeeda; she is from the same industry and knows how things work out here.”
Lastly, Aamir feels he has been lucky so far. “I am lucky to have bagged enough roles without a long waiting time. Roles do not come so often for all. Thankfully, I keep getting offers, and the last five years have been really worth it. Yes, there have been phases where I have deliberately wanted to stay away and take a break. Otherwise, offers have been coming.”
Wish you luck, Aamir.
