The Indian Premier League has taken the world by storm and buoyed by its success TV producers are forming leagues of their own. So different genres of entertainment are now converted into the league format. We first had the Dance Premier League, then Zee TV adopted the format for their singing reality show Mega Challenge and soon Star Plus will have a similar show. One genre that remained untouched was league of stand-up comedians. Well, Hats Off productions thought of having one but it looks that they’ve currently put their ambitious plans on hold.

JD.Majethia’s Hats off productions thought of Indian Premier Laughter show but according to sources the show might not see the light at the end of the tunnel.
“Hats off had thought of Indian Premier Laughter show some time back but the project is yet to take off. They were in talks with Colors for the show. Things looked fine then but since then project has been put on hold as Hats off were concentrating on their film and another show for Star Plus,” said a source.
“Yes, we’ve thought of such a show but it will take time for it to happen,” said Hats off’s Aatish Kapadia before requesting to be excused.
We then sent him a text message asking whether the show has been put or hold or scrapped but Kapadia didn’t reply.
JD Majethia remained unavailable for comment.
