Kapil Sharma is all set to make his comeback with his ‘paltan’ in The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony Entertainment Television tonight.
His alleged spat with Colors led to Comedy Nights with Kapil’s closure, but with this new project, the team promises to get the flavour back with an added twist.
When we recently caught up with Ali Asgar, the man was all praises for Kapil and did not mince words while talking about the comedy superstar.
“I think what Kapil can do is just par anyone’s ability. He justifies the position he has won and I think he is the best comedian on TV at the moment,” said Ali.
Although part of the industry for years, the actor still feels that he still can learn a lot from Kapil. “I feel I am fortunate that three years ago Kapil chose me as part of the team. We work together and learn from each other. Kapil is someone who knows what fans want and helps us all perform to that standard. It is because of him that every actor received much acclamation from viewers. He is truly the captain of our ship.”
With the man in question being the one sailing his team to another channel, we wondered if that’s affected Ali. “I think every show comes with its own fate and such changes are part and parcel of any show. I feel fortunate that rather than putting his hands up, Kapil chose to get all of us together to a new platform. We all respect his decision and are glad that we could move on after the sad situation.”
Kapil, who while speaking to Tellychakkar.com, declared himself as a brand, we wondered if he bosses his team around. “When we meet to discuss our acts, it is a different zone altogether. I don’t know if it’s divine or soul connection, but there is something that binds us all beautifully. Yes, there are disagreements and fights, but we all work together as a team to give the best to our viewers. As for being a boss, Kapil is the coolest as he allows us complete freedom as actors. And as I mentioned, he knows the pulse of the audience. So his suggestions and advice are more than helpful.”
And finally with him being bored of his woman act, Ali quipped, “My kids were really upset and that is why I thought it was time that I move out of the garb. But yes, I believe that har mard ke andar ek aurat chupi hoti hai (every man has femininity in him). So you never know (winks).”
Well, all we know right now is that we are really excited for your show.
Wish you the best, team!
